RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

The Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, has established itself as one of Cusco’s most emblematic destinations, attracting domestic and international tourists. Its impressive chromatic diversity and location at more than 5,000 meters above sea level in the Andes make it a fascinating place for those seeking a unique experience. For many, reaching this majestic landscape is a real challenge, but the effort is amply rewarded with spectacular views. Along the way, visitors can enjoy reddish mountains, snow-capped peaks, crystal-clear streams, and, in addition, be greeted by the friendly Andean camelids, who, with their calm gaze, seem grateful for the visit.

RECOMMENDATION

At approximately 04:40 a.m., we will go to your respective hotels and head to Cusipata, located south of Cusco. There, we will make a stop to enjoy breakfast. Then, we will continue our trip in the van until we reach Phullapatawasi, the starting point of our hike. We will start walking for about an hour and a half, following a path that will gradually transform the landscape between mountains of vibrant colors and small streams of cold water that nourish and give life to the valley. As we advance, the colors of the environment will change due to climatic variations until we reach 5020 meters above level, where the summit of the 7 Colors Mountain (Vinicunca) is located. We will have enough time to capture photos and videos and thoroughly enjoy this wonderful experience. After this moment, we will return to Phullapatawasi, where we will board the minibus that will take us back to Cusipata to enjoy a delicious semi-buffet lunch. Afterward, we will return to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 PM.
