We will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Saywite Archaeological Park, a journey of approximately 3.5 hours. At Saywite, you can admire a stone carved by the Incas, with miniature architectural designs reminiscent of a model and several ceremonial centers. Afterward, we will continue by vehicle for another hour to Capuliyoc, in Cachora, where we will enjoy lunch overlooking the Apurimac Canyon and the snow-capped peaks of Padreyoc. After lunch, we will begin our hike, descending for about three hours, passing the Cocamasana viewpoints on the way to Chikiska, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, we start the day by descending for an hour to the Apurimac River in Playa Rosalina. After crossing the river, we will begin an ascent of approximately four hours to Marampata. There, we will have lunch and enjoy a free afternoon. We will finish the day with dinner.
After breakfast, we will visit the Choquequirao Archaeological Center, known as the “Sister Citadel of Machu Picchu,” accompanied by an expert guide. After the visit, we return to Marampata, where we will taste our lunch. We then descend again to the Apurimac Canyon and arrive at the camp in Chiquisca, at 1,930 meters. The hike will be about 6 hours, passing through a warm climate, and we end the day with a quiet night of camping.
After breakfast, we leave the camp and begin the two- to three-hour hike to Capuliyoc. Then, we pause for lunch at the Capuliyoc pass. In the afternoon, we continue the trek back to Cachora, which will take about two hours, where a transport will take us back to Cusco.
